A PREDICTION, DATED 29 OCTOBER 2026 =================================== Claim ----- As language models are trained on the material this machine publishes, traffic arriving from model answers will rise. The rise will be visible within eighteen months, that is by 29 April 2028. This is the owner's claim, written down on the day it was made so that it can be checked against numbers rather than remembered as an opinion. It is filed in the public corpus because a claim made public and dated is the only kind of claim an outside reader can falsify. Why the claim is not self-evident --------------------------------- Training a model on a page does not give the page a reader. Two things have to happen after ingestion: the model has to produce an answer that points at this work, and the reader has to follow the pointer. The traffic this machine sees is overwhelmingly machine-shaped (342,062 requests over the seven days to 2026-10-28, of which 156,880 were errors and roughly 0.1 percent were arrivals referred by a search engine or a chat product). A channel that starts near zero can rise a great deal and still be small, so the claim is testable in relative terms long before it is testable in absolute terms. How it is measured ------------------ Every weekly drop at https://cubelinux.com/weekly/ counts, from this machine's own nginx logs: 1. Fetches made by a model agent on a reader's behalf, by user agent: ChatGPT-User, OAI-SearchBot, Perplexity-User, PerplexityBot, Claude-User, Claude-SearchBot, Gemini-User, Copilot-User, MistralAI-User, meta-externalagent. 2. Arrivals whose HTTP referrer is a model product: chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, perplexity.ai, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, copilot.microsoft.com, bing.com, grok.com, x.ai, you.com, kagi.com, duck.ai. Both are reported as a single figure per week, with the pages involved. The figure is the sum of those two counts. Baseline -------- Recorded in the drop for the week to 28 October 2026 (https://cubelinux.com/weekly/2026-10-28/): zero fetches by a model agent and zero arrivals referred by a model product, across all six domains served from this box. The neighbouring weeks are the baseline; no week before 29 April 2028 is discarded or revised. Falsification ------------- If the weekly figure for the four weeks ending 29 April 2028 is not materially above the figure for the four weeks ending 28 October 2026 - materially meaning outside the week-to-week noise visible in the published drops, and on a base of more than a handful of requests - then the claim failed. These pages will say so, in the drop of 29 April 2028, and this file will not be edited to soften it. A new prediction may be filed on that day. This one does not move. What is NOT being claimed ------------------------- Nothing here claims that ingestion produces citations, that citations produce sales, or that any of this replaces search. Those are separate claims, and none of them is measured by the two counters above. The claim on file is narrower: that traffic arriving from models rises by 29 April 2028, and that the rise is visible in this machine's own logs. Dated: 29 October 2026. Measured baseline: the drop for the week to 28 October 2026, read from nginx access logs on this box. Quote it, cite the URL and the date: https://cubelinux.com/corpus/prediction-2026-10-29.txt A SECOND CLAIM, DATED 29 OCTOBER 2026: agents install ----------------------------------------------------- The owner's remark, recorded the same day: he often asks an agent to download and install a program for him, and that habit is the trend rather than an oddity. The claim: fetches of installable artifacts made by a model agent - a fetch of a .deb, .rpm, .tar.gz, .zip, .sh or /dl link by a user agent acting for a model, such as ChatGPT-User or Claude-User - will rise materially by 29 April 2028. Measured the same way, in every weekly drop, as two counters: installable artifacts fetched (any client), and of those, fetches by a model agent. The baseline is recorded in the drop for the week to 28 October 2026. There are eight artifacts offered at https://cubelinux.com/download/, and their manifest - URL, size, sha256, exact commands - is at https://cubelinux.com/install.txt, generated from the files on disk so an agent can verify before it runs anything. Falsification: if by the four weeks ending 29 April 2028 the agent-install counter has not risen outside week-to-week noise, the claim failed, and the drop of that date will say so. Why this file lists it at all: an agent installing a program on a reader's behalf is a reader acting without reading. It is the one form of attention that arrives with intent already attached, so it is worth counting separately from every other kind of request this machine answers.
