CUBE — Beta Evaluation Licence (temporary)
==========================================

Copyright © 2026 CUBELinux (cubelinux.com) / DULRobotics (dulrobotics.com).

This file covers the packaged evaluation build of the CUBE store in this
archive — the `cube` binary, the demo and the vocabulary profiles ("the
Build"). The tree the Build is compiled from is MIT; the MIT licence ships as
LICENSE and its permissions stand on their own terms. This file states the
testing terms we offer with this packaged Build, and the date through which we
answer evaluation feedback about it.

1. WHAT YOU MAY DO
   A. Install and run the Build on machines you control.
   B. Evaluate it for personal or internal testing — run the demo, put your
own records in, and tell us what is wrong with it.
   C. Pass the unmodified archive to colleagues for the same purpose,
      together with this file.

2. WHAT WE ASK OF TESTERS
   A. Do not present the Build as a supported product or claim a warranty or
support contract for it; it carries none.
   B. Report failures honestly: a refusal as a refusal, an absence as an
absence, a held store as held.
   C. Keep this file and BUILD-INFO intact in the archive.

3. THE WINDOW AND THE EXPIRY
This is a free evaluation grant for a window of ninety (90) days, ending
2027-01-18 (the Build was packaged on 2026-10-20). We answer evaluation
feedback through that date at no charge. This packaged build is time-limited
by design: it prints "evaluation build — licence expires 2027-01-18" at
every start, runs through the last day, and from 2027-01-19 refuses to open
a store and exits with code 2. The plain MIT source carries no clock —
only this evaluation archive is gated. A build from the source behaves as
   MIT states.

4. MIT AND THIS GRANT
The source tree is MIT (see LICENSE): it grants its own permissions and
this file does not narrow them. This file adds no restriction on top of the
code; it records what we are asking of people who take this packaged build
home to test, and the window in which that testing is our concern.

5. NO WARRANTY — the Build is provided "as is", as MIT already states; we
accept no liability for anything it does to your data.

6. FEEDBACK — failures and questions go through cubelinux.com (the contact on
the site, or the responsible-disclosure policy at /security.html). Anything
a tester reports may be used to improve the software with no obligation to
   the tester.
