CUBE — evaluation build (Linux x86_64)
======================================

WHAT THIS IS
  The standalone CUBE store — the store PowerButton.io runs in production —
  packaged for testing. One binary, a demo, and the three vocabulary
  profiles. No kernel module, no daemon required, no network: a store is a
  file, and the binary is the whole system.

A NOTE ON TERMS: this is a time-limited evaluation build. It prints
  "evaluation build — licence expires 2027-01-18" at every start, runs through
  that day, and from 2027-01-19 refuses to open a store and exits with code 2.
  Read LICENSE-BETA.txt. The source the binary was compiled from is MIT
  (LICENSE) and will be published with the repository; a build from that plain
  source carries no clock. This archive ships the binary, not the tree.

QUICK START
  ./bin/cube --help                 every verb
  ./demo.sh                         the self-contained tour (builds nothing;
                                    uses ./bin/cube, a scratch store, cleans up)
  ./demo.sh --check the tour, then the full gate wall
  ./bin/cube put 7.1.1.1 "hello" store a record (durable)
  ./bin/cube get 7.1.1.1 read it back
  ./bin/cube stats the store, with its numbers
  ./bin/cube serve --socket /tmp/cube.sock a daemon for callers that keep
                                    the connection (see cube rpc, cube mcp)

  A store lives wherever you point it: --store PATH (default ~/.cube/store).
  Profiles name classes: --profile profiles/powerbutton-hive.vocab is the one
  PowerButton.io declares (112 agents, 120 priced model calls, 124 the
  conversation, 125/126 owner/workspace, 128/129 tasks/steps, 130–239 one
  space per agent). The other two profiles are agent-memory and document.

WHAT IT CLAIMS, MEASURED
  The README and CLAIMS.md in the source tree carry the numbers — the tour in
  demo.sh shows them being measured on your machine: durable write ~4.3–4.7 ms,
  batching ~400x faster than an fsync per record, reads sub-microsecond,
  200,000 records ingest at ~170,000/s, reopen ~95 ms, 28 gates.

HONEST LIMITS
  The binary is the store and its filesystem. It is not the kernel lineage —
  there is no mount and no syscall class here. The build was made for x86_64
  Linux; the tree is MIT, so nothing stops you building it elsewhere once the
  source is published. The demo builds no daemon unless you start one. And
  read the held-store rule in the README before writing your own code against
  it: a held store is not data.
